Jacky i havent touched alcohol since the Accyweb meet in May. Everytime i go out its orange and soda for me.

I've always known it, but i guess it could've been the irish family members just making excuses. I always knew guinness was full of iron though.

Oohh good i was allowed guiness & black socially when pregnant with 1st always felt better after & yeh my iron count went up being quite anemic :D

I suppose the irish genes had to be fermented lol

For the good of my health!!! My consultant has put me on new medication and its a valium based one and ive had side effects of it .... my doc said dont drink with it i was allowed to have the odd couple when i was just on the others but with this one thrown in dont touch it at all.

my great grandad is 90 and he drinks guiness every day.........

Im with you there panther . its awful stuff . had a mouthful of it with blac when i was were pregnat too..

Once upon a time most patients in hospitals were given a bottle of Guinness or Mackeson Stout daily during the convalescing period.

In a military hospital we were given TWO bottles per day.

Cant stand the stuff either, have had it over here in draught and in bottles, over in northern ireland in a bottle, and at the guinness brewery in their penthouse bar .... and its disgusting. Will not touch the stuff.

going back to late 70s, me dad was told by doctor to stop drinking, me dad said i only drink 3/4 pints of guiness a night, the doctor said well carry on then,thats ok if ya only drink guiness. we are now 30 yrs on and they are telling us its good for you "official" they gotta be joking.;) always knew that.
