Shock in a bus shelter!

In today's Observer there was a letter from a lady who said that she went into the bus shelter opposite the Oswalldtwistle Co-op and in the shelter there was a heap of human excrement!

In her words the stench was 'putrefying' and when she got home she was physically sick. She says that she is certain that it was human excrement.

Who would do a poo in any bus shelter let alone in a bus shelter near a cctv camera?

What I want to know is how is she sure it was from a human? Could it not have been a pile of dog poo?

What do you think?

i dont know how you could tell the difference without testing it, she must have had a good look to think it may be human, maybe the cctv would tell all

There is cctv there but I think what Lancsdave's trying to say is that cctv is useless as they never catch anyone on it.

Perhaps it was a bear.

Who couldn't quite make it to the woods.

garinda 25-01-2008 23:27

Re: Shock in a bus shelter!

What amazed me was the self control she showed.

She was only 'violently sick' once she was safely home.

Personally I think I would have puked at the time of disecting it, to see if it was dog or human plop-plop....if I was the sort to go about looking closely at turds.

The only good thing about all the heavy rain this week, is that the said turd will now have washed down to Church.:D

OMG what a thread lmao!!!!!
Must say though few valid points . ie difference between human and animal . and how well she contained herself until she got home . .. I couldnt have done that.
I hate poo on the streets be it animal or human .
Someone let their dog take a dump outside our back alley the other week and i really did puke !!
But yet i clean up after my own dog every day and it dont bother me ... strange .

Re: Shock in a bus shelter!

I, myself, found this a very strange letter Lilly .. said was in the morning, OK .. may have been someone from the night before having had too much to drink, and just had to go, which I am sure we would all sympathise with to a certain extent.

Not an expert on the formation of turds, but how she was so certain was human defeats me. Anyway, she rang her local councillor and they assured her they would deal with this obscene dollap.:D

Not knocking her at all, good on her for reporting it .. even though could be dog based .. all adds to cleaning up of the environment.

Should have got our Margaret R. on the case .. no flies on her as to the source, good job not summer as would have been plenty of flies on this mass. :D

Think we may see her on the Observer profile page next week, do you think ?

Imagine that..famous for finding a human turd in a bus shelter!!!! this woman is infamous already she often spouts sh1t in the observer although she`s been quiet recently.probably thinking up this tale.

lettie 26-01-2008 08:16

Re: Shock in a bus shelter!

Unless there was a big pile of chuffage stained toilet roll by the side of this turd, I fail to see how she knew it was human  Maybe there needs to be a no S******* sign in the bus shelters, seems to have worked with the no smoking signs...:D

MITZY 26-01-2008 09:01

Re: Shock in a bus shelter!

I was amused at the first part of the letter, would it have been ok for the driver to knock an able bodied person down then clear off, or is the point she is trying to make she couldn't hurry due to being disabled.

This is the woman who, sometime ago, caused a fuss by demanding a public apology from the NHS because a nurse had the gall to ask her "Are you alright cock?". I think she also demanded disciplinary action be taken against the nurse. She is a regular correspondent to the 'Accrington Observer' and seems to be somewhat of a professional complainer.

I suspect the lady in question has taken Macdonald's new advanced diploma. A compulsory part of their syllabus is the development of skills required to differentiate human from animal excreta, the former being an immeadiate by-product arising from consumption of the Big Mac.

Lilly 14-03-2008 20:36

Re: Shock in a bus shelter!

Did you see the letters page of today's Observer......so funny.:D

There was a letter from the lady who wrote in back in January to complain about human excrement in the bus shelter. Today she was bemoaning the fact that the public toilets in Ossy are always padlocked and she has had to enter a pub just to 'spend a penny' although she is a lifelong teetotaller. :(

I think I've worked it out.....human poo in bus shelter, woman complaining that she needs the toilet in Ossy but they're locked....I think it was her who pooed in the bus shelter after all that!:D

So she did. I hadn't spotted that bit. She won't have much use for the wine if she's teetotal, will she?

It'll be more like a meal for two and a pot of tea I think. :D

Her children used to go to the same church as my family.

She was perfectly normal then, not that I'm saying excrement analysis is abnormal.

She wasn't double-barrelled then though, which might be the reason she's out delving.

Someone sign her up to Accy Web, she'd be brilliant on here...unless she's already a member.;)
