Looks like a serious accident on the car park. Closed off from bottom of Willows Lane since 6.30pm. Still closed now.

which car park??
|
Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
Blackburn Rd itself, usually referred to on here as the car park because of the number of cars parked up on the yellow lines :)

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
Probably one of those who race around in flash cars come along and with cars parked up going to indian place or a-z no room to move and crash. blame the only people who ever really park on that bit.

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
one of the worst places is that shop that used to be bootleggers on blackburn rd there is allways a van on the pavment (all four wheels on the pavement ) not just two loading or unloading.
i have seen people with prams having to walk into the road to get past |
Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
the incident was thanks to a rather crazy driver shootin down from willows lane tryin to overtake a car that was tryin to park infront of roosters cottage she mistimed it all comin in too fast she cudnt control it hit antoher corsa up which she mounted the kerb hit a gas mains pipe of sahad the takeaway.
i'd love to know what happened to her though if any charges were bought against her |
Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
Are the police ever going to do anything about the way cars are parked along Blackburn Road?? Going on today and a van just pulled up right onto the pavement and the driver just left it there and went into a shop. The bus couldn't get through and if there had been an emergency the ambulance or fire engine would never have got past. It is illegal to park on double yellow lines and even worse when you are on the pavement. Time the offending drivers got issued with tickets or maybe it will take a fatality for something to be done!!!!

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
they had a clampdown/ purge on that stretch last year, did a few fer a couple of days n then it was back to normal. dont think the traffic wardens know blackburn rd is that long.

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
As well as the Blackburn Rd car park, has anyone noticed there is also a large car salesroom running up Manchester Rd round the Oakhill Park area ?

Went past the Blackburn Rd Carpark today on way to Maplin in Bburn…it was chockablock. Something needs sorting out.
Going on towards Church on Bburn Rd is a bloody disgrace, just past the new medical place. Houses knocked down and all the land now covered in weeds about 4 foot high. Flippin eyesore. |

Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
its a shame that the regeneration scheme that was meant to happen doesnt involve that side of blackburn rd. those houses along the bike shop and the block along really need knocking down - then the road could be widened and the whole area wud look alot better - its almost claustrauphobic!
|
Re: Blackburn Rd Car Park Closed
Why can't people just not park where they shouldn't? It is all good and well talking about widening the road but if the double yellow lines were taken notice of there would be no need.

I wonder how many of the for sale cars are insured? Probably none. PC Plod could impound them all for no insurance. |
