Re: Expensive cigarette
its a draconian law in my book, but at the end of the day it is the LAW. so tough.

Re: Expensive cigarette
I've heard that smoking will be allowed again in pubs etc, but they have to provide a room for the smokers. Mind you this could just be a rumour.

I personally think all smokers should protest for this: a smoking room, if you don't smoke you don't need to go into it do you: I really can't believe we just sat back and let them ban it in the first place.... sick of the powers that be telling us what to do all the time...:dummy2: |
Re: Expensive cigarette
Although I'm totaly anti smoking I do have some sympathy for those who choose to smoke, as its their health thats on the line, I think that a designated smoking room in pubs and clubs would be the answer, but with very good exreacter fans so smoke does no drift all over the building. As for the landlord that has been fined I have no sympathy what so ever, the law is the law no matter how unpopular.

Re: Expensive cigarette

Re: Expensive cigarette
Just to thread wander a bit its thirty years today 31 Jan 1978 that I gave up smoking after smoking 30 a day since being a teenager. I was told by the doc to cut down and smoke a less tar brand, so I decided there and then to kick the fags into touch and I havn't had one in my mout since.

Re: Expensive cigarette
im an ex-smoker, and have to say the landlord knew about the ban so pay-up!!!
but i do feel sorry for smokers who have to go outside to have a fag, in the summer it wont be so bad, but now...lol, freezing to death just for a puff!! is it worth it? |
Re: Expensive cigarette
If theres a smoke room that stops smoke from entering the rest of the building then I see no problem with that (obviously the law does at the moment though). If people want to poison their bodies, then they have the right to do it, as long as in the process they are not harming anyone else.
