Rubot
 

I was watching Breafast TV this morning and they had a robot on, its wa actually called Rubot, which could do a Rubiks Cube in around 30 seconds, it did it in 37 secods whilst on air. Now I'm not going to tell lies and say I used to do it in about a minute back in the 80s, to be quite honest I don't think I ever did it at all, but did tear my hair out try. Now they've made a b***** robot that does in about 30 seconds:bangh8:

I watched it too, it couldnt seem to do the second rubiks cube, i was really impressed though, 37 seconds is fast, i have never been able to do one yet

There easy, I can do them in about 1 min

Get hold of one of the corner cubes, pull out and twist it at the same time and it will come out easily, the rest of the cube then falls in bits, put back together leaving a corner cube till last and force it back in with a twisting motion - job done :D

I was about a minute as well back then. Best I ever saw in the flesh was about 35 seconds.

Where most people read a book on how to do it I actually sat down and worked out patterns of how to move squares from one place to another and then combined these into a full process. I was dead proud of myself when I did it (I was 12 BTW)

Johnny Ball had a lot to answer for when I was a kid. :D

I could never do the rubiks cube either!! I used to peel the stickers off and re stick them on, pretending I had done it ;)

Used to be chuffed with myself if I managed to do one side pmsl

i couldnt do the rubiks cube either it ended up in the bin as it was to annoying lol
