Britney is Sectioned

Britney Spears has finally been sectioned under an act called 5150. She has been taken to UCLA hospital. Her psychiatrist decided to section her when she was talking to trees, and hadn't slept for 3 days.

Now I can't stand the girl, I think shes a horrible person, a bad mother and role model, but its good that shes finally getting some help so her poor boys can see their mother again.

It could be good for her to get some time to think about which direction she needs to take in her life, maybe this could help her get back on track and get her boys back, i dont think she should be out making a comeback yet until she has her personal life sorted out, i hope the outcome of this is good for her to get back on track.

Lets hope that she does get things sorted out for herself this time.

I take it now that she has been sectioned she can't sign herself out again like she has done in the past?

Well this 5150 Act, lets the hospital hold them for 72 hours, if they refuse medication or treatment in this time, they can then hold them for another 14 days.

i hope she gets the help she needs this time so her boys can see her again. its a shame how her life is at the moment and her sons suffering because of their mum being ill.

Yes hopefully she will get the treatment she needs without running away from it this time.

More rubbish on the Accy Web. Who really gives a damn about some spoiled, rich demented woman on the west coast of the USA?

Apparently seven people so far, including yourself.

I really do feel sorry for her. Hope she gets well and makes a massive, successful comeback 2009!! Her new singles are good!

Where do I sign? I could use the break, ordinary folk don't get the chance to see a psychiatrist, never mind get sectioned, (unless violent), it would come as a really restful period so far as I'm concerned and no doubt for plenty of others.

I think its cute that you have educated us all about which coast she is on, I think most accywebbers would've had no idea, after all, we only care about her making a fool of herself, nobody gives a damn about which coast she's on.

On an almost humourous note about where she lives, George Clooney came out of his house one day to see helicopters hovering over his neighbourhood. When he realised its because he lives within 400yards of Britney Spears he said he is going to move.

I imagine a lot of accywebbers would love Britney on their street! All the curtain twitchers made a thread about helicopters hovering around the other day, they'd love it!

I visited someone who was sectioned for nearly two years.

Hell on Earth springs to mind, rather than a place for tranquil rest.

My boyfriends just started working in calderstones and from what he has said so far about it, I dont see why anyone would want to put themselves into a place like that.

So I second the Hell on Earth statement

There is sectioned and there is sectioned, the type of place you are talking about is probably a million miles and a mega American Express card away from poor little Brittany!

People who are sectioned are all on the same wave length. They aren't easier to live with just because they have money. What use is money when you can't even look after yourself?

I think I have an idea of what causes people to be sectioned, but someone with money can be put into a situation offering far better care than someone that has to rely on the state for the way they are treated, otherwise whats the point of going private?

I didn't realise Garinda was referring to the treatment, I thought he was referring to the place in general.

With money you can be sectioned into a private nursing home with 5 star accomadation and excellent treatment, that isn't the type of place Rindy thought I meant and I was meaning I would change places with her not some ordinary unfortunate being.

So in other words you dont want to go into a mental hospital, you want money and a holiday? Why don't you just go to Florida or Tenerife like a normal person?
