Can it be true?
 

While trawling through Google Images, looking for pictures of St. James' Church (honest guv!), I came across the shocking revelation that Accrington is the home town of a gay porn star.

Apparently, Aiden Shaw, a gentleman of prodigous girth and length, was born in Accrington in 1966.

I do not know whether this is true or not. However my informant assures me that Mr Shaw's family were of the Catholic faith and that he has five brothers and two sisters. As well as being feted for his "horizontal" perfomances in the UK and America, Mr Shaw is also a published author, poet and performance artist.

Can anyone confirm this, or is the whole thing just scurrilous gossip.

According to Wikipedia, He was Born February 22nd 1966 in Harrow, London. Thats a relief in itself, we don't want folk like that round here frightening the chickens do we?

Being intrigued, I googled Aiden Shaw. He grew up in Accrington with 5 brothers and 2 sisters and, from one of the photos on a site I found, he's not particularly over-proportioned. ;)

Alas, it is, as I feared, a load of old cobblers. It seems that Mr Shaw was indeed born and brought up in London.

Suprise, suprise, I've met him...at a poetry reading in London.

A friend of mine is a very good pal of his, but I never knew he was from Accy.

By the way, the poetry isn't very good, in my opinion.

There is much more artistry in his film work.:D
