Thanks are due to The Observer for the revelation that Accrington has its very own Retail Development Manager. That's nice, isn't it? Finally there is someone we can complain directly to when the next retail outlet closes or the next pound shop opens.

The Retail Development Manager is Mr. Bill Huntley and he can be contacted at .....errrm........ well, actually, he can't be contacted because the HBC website doesn't actually give his contact details, it doesn't even mention him.

I did try ringing HBC to see if the switchboard could enlighten me but I got fed up waiting for them to answer the phone.

Perhaps Graham could help us out here??

He used to be called the Town Centre Manager.

The Observer names him as "Bill". I suppose it wouldn't hurt to be really thorough and send a copy to William.
