He rang me from his mates mobile - but he thought our power must be off as he got a strange tone and he didn't have my mobile number. (The strange tone turned out to be the engaged tone :rolleyes:)

I wish they had have rung me - I only live round the corner could have made a sandwich and been there within 5 minutes! They have a bad habit of not communicating when they're in the wrong!

that is ridiculous!!! I bet they would of rang you if he was on packed lunches and you had forgot to send it with him!

I don't think we had one but I was out so can't be sure. The electric clocks seem OK though. My friend on Higher Antley Street phoned me - she'd had one.

My nan lives near the new houses they are building at the bottom of craven street/chester street, she had a power cut earlier today, which was due to the builders cutting through the mains. I wonder if its all connected
