Do you swear at yours

Its ben stated that office workers swear at their computers at least four tmes a day. this makes them the most stressful thing to deal with at work. Staff hate them more thn rude colleagues, deadlines, or mounting workloads. this is according to

CartridgeMonkey.com

Personally I don't work in an office or anything like that, but I still find tme to swear at my laptop four times every hour never mind each day:rolleyes:

Re: Do you swear at yours

I described myself as a luddite when I had to use a computer at work.
This was due to the draconian way they were set up to ensure security and constant use.

A plastic ID card had to be inserted to identify the user. If you lost one or left one in a machine they brought in the Spanish Inquisition. The only way to ensure you never did that , was to have the card on a long chain round your neck -
so you were in effect chained to the thing when using it.

The bleep----- which was a warning of imminent 'time out'. There was never time to lean back and have a serious look at what was on the screen, because it was set to expect the keyboard to be in use constantly. It beeped if you didn't - then threw you off the system soon after -- Spanish Inquisition called in again.

I got a pc of my own a few years after retirement and remember telling my ex boss that I wasn't a reincarnated Luddite after all -- because I had got one that doesn't bleep at me.

I never swear at mine, it's way too much effort.

Though I do get sulky, and fall out of love with it, when it's not working properly.

Re: Do you swear at yours

lol thing is - you cant get sacked for swearing at a PC because it wont make a complaint against you - your colleagues -even the rude ones most likely will
there are times in the past where i could have done much swearing throughout the day at some colleagues
