Re: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Some sales guy phoned me recently trying to lure me back to BT for my calls...citing this 'free weekends and evenings' ploy...my line is BT but my calls are onetel...purely for the savings on the Oz calls.
I was under the impression that you had to redial if the call went on for longer than an hour....but maybe I got it wrong. |
Re: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
all i know is the evening an weekend calls, you have to redial after an hour, but the weekend only one, im not so sure of, because it dont mention owt about that:o

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I'm with tiscali for broadband and get free weekend calls in with it, they also want me to have my line rental off them for free, but i've refused so far until i find out if there's a catch.

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I get free nights and weekend calls free through BT Broadband, been on it 12 months, my quarterly for broadband, line rental and calls is less than £100

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
My letter states free calls from the beginning of February 2008. But there are strings.
As far as BT Together Option One – The Hour Plan is concerned it is now called “Unlimited Weekend Plan”. From 1st April 2008 the line rental will increase by 75p per month to £11.75. Free call duration is limited to ONE HOUR per call. Calls to numbers beginning with 01, 02 and 03, excluding the Channel Islands beyond one hour will be charged at 3.25 per minute and 4p after 1st April. Redialling starts another hour. You must make at least one chargeable call during a month to qualify for the free weekend calls. There is nothing in the letter that defines a weekend though. I always thought that it was 1800 on a Friday to 0600 on a Monday and included bank holidays. But if you opt for “paper free” billing and Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan you will get a monthly reduction of £1.25 and BT will plant a tree on your behalf with the Woodland Trust. |

Also, don't know whether you heard it on Jeremy Vine (know you listen sometimes) only heard the subject heading not the discussion, but someone was going to comment on the fact that because she was paying by cheque why should she be penalised ! Understand what she was probably going to say, 'tis the other around really to the discount they give you for direct debit. |

The fact is that once upon a time EVERYONE paid their phone bill to BT by cash or cheque either at the Post Office, Bank or BT shop. To get customers to pay by DD BT offered a reduction in the bill. However to skew slightly off topic. BT has various broadband packages all based on bandwidth usage. Have you ever tried to find out what your monthly bandwidth usage has been? I have and they make all sorts of excuses to avoid telling you. |
