Lapse in security again at Heathrow, what are the Security staff/Cops playing at. Only last month Greenpeace climbed on top of a plane. Think someone needs to get their act together.

thats whats the nonsense of it, this guy would be a damn site more suspicious to me, they should have shot him, guy climbs fence with rucksack, proceeds onto runway is a damn site more so than a guy going to work, if he had been a terrorist it would be a result, if it was a crazy still would have saved the expense of incarcerating him.

Well I think its long overdue that security staff at airports either got thier acts together or contracts withdrawn.
All and sundry are breaking security levels at the moment and with terrorism threats the way they are its a damn disgrace.
Maybe a few shootings will stop these (lets see if we can do it)lunatics also. While i appreciate them bringing attention to the lapsed security they are also causing unnessesary havoc.. but tthen we cant have it both ways can we.

mani 13-03-2008 23:58

Re: Bloke runs onto heathrow runway with rucksack..

wot contracts?!

its the police that are incharge - brit transport police that are incharge of this now - as far as i'm aware none of the security posts no matter how minor are now out-sourced - tehy're all thru the home office/police

Re: Bloke runs onto heathrow runway with rucksack..

what i find surprising is lapse after lapse happens at airports. now if u or i are terrorists or thinkin of this whats stopping anyone making a makeshift bomb wearing some overalls slippin over the fence one night and getting near a plane - hiding in the hold section - wait till its ready to take off and then boom.

why isnt no one smacked over the knuckles for the lapses? u never hear of anyone sayin he's been sacked as chief inspector for heathrow for this. its like the buck doesnt stop anywhere.

Does anybody read the daily mail? I don't know anyone who reads the daily mail, though saying that, i expect loads of people on the forum will prove me wrong in the morning :p

I think its a shame that you think of discrimination against yourself the moment I suggest a certain job though!

Re: Bloke runs onto heathrow runway with rucksack..

but its true. its inevitable that the mail and the rest would pick up on this. they wouldnt directly sayin anythign else but coerce public into a certain direction. such feelings do exist not just in the uk but the world all over

why else would a muslim mp be held in usa customs for over 4 hrs yet other mp's breezed through despite being in the same group travelling? why else would i be told by a company that i'd have to work twice as hard to make my franchise successful as automatically public perceptions would be against me in general? as u said. **** happens. we're used to it.

True, I was discussing this tonight with a lad from Pakistan who happened to come and speak to me. It's still unfair though. I don't see why white people are the alpha-race.

Hmm.

Pakistan gave us a bit of spice to our lives :D as did India of course... and all those lovely exotic places.

Coffee was originally discovered by a man from Pakistan, and Chess is an indian game originally!

Muslims also perfected soap for us, not to mention parachutes which I assume our soldiers use!

I did go out tonight but I didn't get back at 5am, that would be unrealistic. I had the worst night of my life aswell. I'm never going on a student night again.

There is a student night every night in Lancaster. This is the first I've ever been on. I thought it was a load of crap that's all.

In fact the highlight of my evening was when I left and bumped into some of my tutors, one of whom I normally drink with, but I already had a kebab in hand so I couldn't go with them which was a shame.

Nobody really wants to talk to me on student nights because I just want to talk about serious things, and normally the girls are just shrieking and chasing boys, and boys are slobbering all over me, on this occasion it was the newly elected law society secretary, which I found very awkward seen as I have just split with my boyfriend of 3 years, so I just wasn't having a very good time.

Maybe I should run onto the run way with a bomb strapped to my back...

Sorry but I had to tie my night out into the topic.

*LOL* ah the serious drinker eh? the stuff i see on a student night out you couldnt imagine it... hmmm i need a kebab actually. quite hungry. i was gonna get some fried chicken but then thought otherwise but now i regret it. chicken. mmmmmmm.

i've seen worser night outs - where a girl's broken up with her bf, got blind drunk, her friends have left her or she's lost em, and to top that cause she was so druink she's lost her handbag which had her fone and keys in it along with the id etc inc her passport. and then when u try to help her she goes off on one and walks off alone.

I have done all of that :p in fact just last week i came home, thought I had lost my ID so reported it missing straight away then got into bed and found it under my blanket :D

I once stood on the bottom of a broken bottle and then pulled it out again, that was messy an I had to go hospital the next day.

I have had my drink spiked too which was also pretty messy, particularly when i got home, jumped into a cold shower and cut myself open everywhere, including my foot again >.<

I do prefer being a serious drinker, it's less painful.

lol the plug... dont ask... I think I mustve knocked a few razors down with me too, who knows, I only remember falling in the shower then I was awake in my pj's covered in plasters.

vodka turns me evil, I try to avoid it. Though in the words of my male criminal law tutor 'women f*** you up' 'women mess with your head' which is basically along the lines of women are evil anyway.

Our criminal law tutor asked us if we had been abused by a partner before, then said he has. I think he has issues.

the plug!? wtf!? did u have the killer plug from mars in that shower or something!?

since that night i've not had vodka - taht was 7 yrs ago. i went off it totally - vodka and donner meat. the smell of both reminds me of that night.

thats rather disturbing for ur tutor to disclose that. i think that annual psychiatry test is overdue

he's recently divorced and a bit camp, we think she may have converted him. He is a good tutor though, though offensive in a bad way, rather than in a jimmy carr sort of way.

I'm anti-feminist though so I love him. Should've heard the things he was saying in our seminar on rape. Harsh even for me to take so I dread to think what the feminists of the group think about him.
