saw it on tv,my thoughts were the daughter must have been partly responsible, n laughed when i heard the mum was talking about sueing.:rolleyes:

Can't say i have any sympathy with them.
Anyway if they live in a mansion i'm sure they can afford the repairs!

the radio station never gave out the name/address, Devon is a pretty large/spread out county, Mansions are not usually visible from the roadside in my experience, so how did these kids find it? they sure as hell were not driving all over Dartmoor at night hoping,:rolleyes: i reckon the daughter gobbed off (bragging) maybe n has come unstuck.:jimbo:

I read about this in the paper yesterday - her daughter put up a poster in her common room in 6th form at school inviting them all.... it ended up on facebook and few other sites as well.

Honestly nowadays would you have a birthday party in your house when there is something like facebook and bebo etc around. You dont know who would be in your house. Safest thing to do is to hire a hall somewhere and party the night away there.

Saw this posted on Something Awful, I hope they don't get a penny from the BBC. The truth is that it was the Facebook and MySpace posting that got those 2000 people to the door. Apparently the house had more entrances than the front so 4 bouncers couldn't stop people sneaking around.

Seriously how stupid can you get?
You advertise it everywhere then don't be surprised if hundreds of people turn up and destroy the place when they are drunk.
Hopefully she has learnt a valuble lesson the hard way like most things in life.
