What should be done to control the yob's ?

Drugs - Gun crime - Vandalism - Social Bad Behavior.

I wonder if the local council in either Blackburn with Darwen or Hyndburn would admit that there are areas that are rife with drug dealers and criminals, that the police are aware of but with the current legislation can't touch ?
I was once prosecuted for stealing turnips...I was fined 13 and 4 pence.
I feel I am a better man for that.
Why oh Why do we take on the views of the media?
They are paid to make a story out of nothing.
Take the smart arsed lawyers out of the running and let the learned judges make the decisions....not the mamby pamby magistrates who listen to sob stories and don't come across real world situations.
As a kid...if you did anything wrong in the community you got a belt in the ear.

the problem with that is roy- judges are governed by the usless sentencing tariffs n the governments - early release cos our jails are full system.:(

I just read this story and find it unbelievable that it took 2 yrs before Hyndburn took any action ........surely blasting a stereo at any time is a creating a public disturbance , and the police can act ......what am I missing ?

yeh aint missing nowt john, they prat about fer yonks taking "Decibel" readings n not that often cos its generally late at night, council will ask you to make a list of dates n times etc, before they will even look at the problem,unless its changed n GJ can tell us differant.:(

Now then, instead of the stereo, or the TV, do you think they could just seize my Neighbours? They're loud enough on their own!

It is reported in the Observer that this woman has been sentenced to ninety days for being in breach of the Anti-Social Behaviour Order which was served on her. Not before time, now maybe her neighbours will get a bit of peace.

they could have jailed her a lot longer under the terrorism act for blasting madonna tracks out alone:p

I hate yobs!!! There are loads of them on our street, shouting and screaming, kncking on doors and running away! GRRRRR! :mad:
