Thanks Royboy,
As for a fair hearing, only time will tell!
As I said in my last post, people are more than welcome to contact me with bits of gossip they've heard, things they've seen on their travels or possible stories they would like the Observer to follow up.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Welcome Lisa,

You are to be commended for sticking your head above the parapet.

Maybe you could answer my question though as to why print a story from only one viewpoint? Especially something that like this one that was full of allegations and contentious issues, and one that made the young lad appear in such a bad light with no right of reply.

Thanks

Apologies.

I also apologise for the rant I had on it but biaised journalism like that really gets my goat.

That's should be "atroshus" ... ;)

I don't suppose you would be interested in the grizzly that came out of hibernation and parked his butt on the highway near Frontenac Park ... stayed there until the heat arrived and lured him away with donuts?:D:D:D

Not unless it happened up Baxenden, or perhaps in front of Oakhill Park......now that would be a scoop!

I have seen one or two grizzlies in Ossy and the heat take their time to arrive at the scene. Sorry Eric but lets get The Observer on board instead of taking the p**s

A couple of years ago we had another journalist from the Observer, who was as a member of the forum, and if I recall he published some articles because of leads people had given him, so I wish you all the beat Lisa, and I look forward to reading your work, and maybe you'll get some scoops from Accy Web.:)

I think this might be the post that could have upset his lordship so, I have amended the quote which means exactly the same.

Just been reading the "Observer" on line .... it's not all that bad .... has much more local stuff in it than our city rag "The Kingston Whig-Standard" (know usually as the Sub-Standard." It seems like a good way of keeping up on what's happening in my old home town.

Being a good boy I asked her my question in a PM.

The ironic thing about online newspapers is they are blamed for the dwindling sale and ultimate end of paper newspapers. I personally suspect it is the paper copies that fund the online versions and if the paper copies disappear so will the online ones.
