Yet another crackpot idea from this inept government.

Blocking IP addresses won’t work either churchfcrules because most people will have a dynamic IP address. Meaning that each time a computer is connected to the Internet via dial up or broadband it is allocated a particular IP address and when it is disconnected that IP address becomes free to be used by someone else.

In any case, as has already been pointed out there are ways and means of getting round even static IP addresses.

I can't .. :( knew I was incomplete somehow .. LOL.

I suppose the problem is that there will always be new offenders coming along too who have not been convicted as yet.

Think all parents can do at the moment is to keep a vigilant eye on their children and check history, etc., on their computers. Do not allow them to have the computer in their bedrooms .. keep it in full view of the rest of the family.
Warn them of the dangers over and over again. Teaching at schools should include this ... may already, don't know.

Was listening to a talk on the Radio and a gentleman rang in to say he (with her permission) had checked his daughter's Facebook entries and friends. One of the friends (age 14) had put up photos in her bra and knickers. Course he wanted to mention to the girl's parents but daren't in case he himself was considered a perv.. what a predicament.
