Damn Great actor, possibly had the greatest line in movies ever, "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!"

Less well remembered for his human rights work, shame Michael Moore could not see past that when he lynched, sorry interviewed, him a few years ago.

Whatever his politics he was a screen icon and according to James Cameron, Director of True Lies, he was the only man who could intimidate Arnold Schwarzenegger. R.I.P Chuck

Thank you for drawing attention to this.

His support of the Second Amendment was also greatly appreciated. Away from the movie screen, one of his best lines was, "From my cold, dead hands." He had a wonderful set of pipes. God speed, Chuck.

lost ALOT of fans for his pro-gun views despite his civil rights stuff. lots of ppl forget the stuff he did with ppl like martin luther king jnr and will forever remember the interview with michael moore.

This is sad news, he was just about my favourite actor. I liked what he said about his marriage, ' I have often thought of murder but never divorce'.
