and how many millions did the answer that everyone knew cost?

Re: Diana inquest:....Unlawfully killed!!!

They mentioned 8 million on the news. However Al Fayed says the British people should not think of it as a waste of time or money.

Scandalous waste of money.

What a complete waste of public time and money.

The people involved are still dead.

Henri Paul had been drinking, and the car was pursued by the paparazzi, which had already been established, and Al Fayed still thinks they were murdered, so no change there then.

Cant argue with that, but if a manager of a manufacturing set up does not ensure that his employees are safe and the undermanagement do not ensure that customers are safe....death results....the managers are then charged with manslaughter.............The management must be held responsible for their employees....and in this case free-lance...if they are paid for whatever service they offer, the management or employers, should be held responsible if an offence is commited.
They would no doubt argue that "People have a right to know" BUT why should the Media and their Moguls be exempt?
If the management of the Hotel are deemed responsible for the actions of the driver then by the same token the press should also be held responsible :confused:

Yes he did lose his son, and that is truly awful. BUT Mr AL fayed owns the Ritz and the Mercedes Benz and M Henri Paul was employed by the Ritz. maybe he cannot believe the truth.
A good friend of mine saud at the time, he used to sell Mercedes Benz's, if they had been wering their seatbelts they would be alive today. Food for thought not forgetting the passenger in the front survived.

total waste of taxpayers money.we are just the underclass would they waste any percentage on us no..just like oasis said ,rich bird gets killed in speeding car so what..she would,nt even want to wipe her shoes on us unless it gave her a bit of publicity....

Re: Diana inquest:....Unlawfully killed!!!

i was listenin to this on the radio on how after all this extensive investigating how no one can be charged as it was an inquiry and how the charges at the end were designed so no one cud b charged/named. the paparazzi werent called that - they were "following vehicles" henri paul wasnt the driver it was the "mercedes car and its driving style"

and everyone's accusing the pap but as most celebs do now even diana wud drop calls to ppl as to her location so that there wud be pap outside.

but apparently this will probably be the end as the govt made al fayed sign a contract that he wud accept the outcome of the inquiry. *L*

Re: Diana inquest:....Unlawfully killed!!!

I had the privilege of meeting Diana a few years before this terrible 'accident'...we all have our own views and opinions on what may and may have not happened, I for one IMHO believe she was assassinated, but thank god the whole charade can be left alone now...it was never going to be any other verdict really was it?!

Re: Diana inquest:....Unlawfully killed!!!

The whole truth will be revealed when all the interested parties are dead
The Public Record Office has the right to keep files sealed for 100 years if need be
So much for 'open government'

Re: Diana inquest:....Unlawfully killed!!!

The biggest waste of money is in the fact that they could have given the same verdict without even having an inquest, it was always going to be the answer given, the french dont want adverse publicity, the government dont want the royals involved, and the general public couldnt handle any other outcome, if for example, there was an assassination, (and I still think there may have been), can you imagine what the public outcry (or worse) against the royals would be? And William likely to be the next monarch! How could he rule for a family that in the minds of some, killed his mother, there is more to this than meets the eye, but will be a long long time, if at all before it comes out, I agree though, that it should be put to bed, and Diana allowed to rest in peace.

How true, maybe they could use the images in the next seat belt adverts instead of splashing pizza on the windscreen or dragging a women around a pub floor.

Does anyone care anymore?

It would have been cheaper for the Country if the Queen had just had MI6 shoot her instead of the crash thing.
