That little bit of junk you still get is the unaddressed (to 'occupier') stuff that the post office gets paid to deliver. I have heard that it too can be stopped by contacting the post office direct, but it is the only way posties get overtime.

Any other junk stops eventually - does make a big difference.

were not on strike its just you might not be popular.
about the junk mail it will stop royal mail delivering junk mail which tends to be 3 pieces a week.
you will still get all the junik we dont deliver and the junk that comes with your normal mail

I have been listed at the Mail Preference Service for several years, yet my postman sometimes puts junk through my letterbox.
It is the type which is not in envelopes - brochure type/unaddressed mail.

A lot of the time Margaret this kind of junk is delivered by private companies and not the Royal Mail, they come round here quite a lot at least once a week on average

My postman must be moonlighting for a leaflet distribution firm, because it definitely is him that delivers some of it.
