If you look at the last sentence in this link

Pam is named as new Mayor - News - Accrington Observer

It says on there that councillor Pam Barton has officially become Mayor today.

That will have been what the parade was, Bernadette.

There was nothing about it in this week's Observer. I don't know why. :confused:

That story I posted a link to was in the Observer back in February.

I remembered that they usually have the Mayor making in May, typed Hyndburn Mayor Pam Barton into google and this story came up. :)

I would have thought there would have been something in this week's paper though.

Not been very well publicised, has it?

I can never understand why someone would do that, if you have anything to say about another person it really looses something if your not prepared to put your name to it, thats why I could never understand people writng letters to the press and withholding their name, totally piontless
