then she was convicted of poisoning her seven year old in 1981 after carrying out another fraud. and she olso fleeced dozens of people in a £5million bogus hotel scam.

A CAREER conwoman who poisoned her husband with rat killer and antidepressants was given an indeterminate prison sentence yesterday.

Heather Mook, 58, tricked her husband John, 60, into taking the tablets and poison by putting it in his food in an attempt to confuse him while she fleeced his mother of £43,000.

The judge, James Spencer, QC, sitting at York Crown Court, told Mook she was being given an indeterminate sentence to protect the public and would be considered for parole only after she had served five years.

Mook, of Heslington Road, York, was found guilty of two counts of poisoning her husband so as to endanger his life.
