No it was brought in for HGV vehicles but buses are covered by the same legislation.

So some drivers tire more easily than others? It makes no sense to me, I can get in a taxi and travel however many miles but on a bus I have to keep changing:confused: As I already said a stupid law.

The ONLY negative downside I can see from a bit of further thought in regards to HGV and (if covered) coaches, is that there would always need to be two drivers at all times, but it woulnt be as much of a problem with buses....

Do these Muppets really know what they are doing?

EU forces bus company to dump passengers every half hour | the Daily Mail

That means you can't go from Accrington to Blackpool without a change of drivers or buses...........what a load of tosh?

This has got to be some bizarre April Fool joke?

If it isn’t then if anyone ever wanted a reason for the UK to dump the EU then surely this must be it.

What is going to be next?

The real Muppets is the British government for allowing the Brussels Muppets to dictate as they do.

The sooner we get out of the EU the better.

It's no joke Jim...while this shower of crap are at the helm...and we are still in Europe we will have to grin and bear it.

OK Miss smart arse...just have another look at my profile.
I know how to run a bus and coach service is operated...do you?

I was not allowed to edit my last post.
The bottom line should read:

Just a quick point, can we extend this law to Airline Pilots, would sure make my life a lot easier!

Also does this affect National Express and other long distance coach operators??

jambutty 13-05-2008 08:30

Re: Who the hell wants the EU?

Will it affect ‘white van man’ and eventually Mr and Mrs Private Motorist?

Will it affect trains?

But that’s it! It’s the start of a back door scheme to get people out of their cars and onto the trains for journeys longer than 31 miles (50 Km).

2 drivers equals twice as much pay, which, equals twice the cost to the user.

Yes which is why I pinpointed it as a NEGATIVE thing.

I still think this is an absolutely absurd reason to suggest leaving the EU though. As pointed out, every other member country decided against it, and we didn't. It's OUR government you should be questioning, not the EU.
