Gordon's gin

On the subject of adverts again - if you've read Gordon Ramsey's book you'll know that he drinks very little alcohol, yet he's currently the poster boy for Gordon's Gin. Now apart from the obvious use of him because of his name it strikes me that it's not a particularly good marketing move to get a known teetotaller to advertise alcohol!

But I suppose their only other alternative is Gordon Brown! :D

I'm sure he'll be drinking more of it given the current climate!

A bit like he is advocating restaurants using seasonal local products, and to be fined for not doing so .. irrespective of the fact that he serves French H20 in his restaurants .. !

Is it not combining advertising the product with the drinkwise alert built in. Don't drink too much Gin or you end up swearing like a well known chef :)

Regarding the great Gordon Ramsey, I remember seeing him when he was just a Chef, a dammed good one at that.
He said that he had no intention of becoming a Celebrity Chef because they were not real chefs. Must be the money then!

...or a digitally remastered Gordon Jackson as Hudson the butler, or the lovely Hannah Gordon, not forgetting Gordon Burns, or even Gordon the Gopher.

Ok, ok, Ramsey was probably the best choice as the most high profile Gordon, though they could have at least used that old new wave classic by Jilted John, 'Gordon is a Moron', as background music.:D
