hair-dye

a mum went to a hairdresser's to get her hair done radiant red.
when she came to wash it, all the red dye leaked everywhere.
she went on holiday not allowed to go swimming case the dye contaminated the pool.she couldn't go out if it was raining in case her
hair got wet. the house wife said i have been dyeing my hair for 10 years, and nothing like this has ever happened before.

anyone with half a brain would either wash it until it stopped running out , bleech it with paroxide and go blonde or shave their head if using the swimming pool was so important too them lol

Re: hair-dye

Why on earth didn't she just keep washing/rinsing it till it stopped leaking?

I have just read this Pam1, and find it a little disturbing that the salon are only offering the cost of the colour as they say 'just followed manufacturer's instructions'. They will only do this providing she signs a disclaimer saying no mistakes have been made on the part of the salon.

Seems has rubbed off on her holiday clothes, afraid to go out in the rain on holiday. You may not think distressing Accymad ... I would freak !!

Although the Observer have named the salon, I will not, but I think they ought to address this with a little more depth and professionalism. After all, they will only pass any costs of claim on to the manufacturers. Or will they ? Perhaps something went wrong in the salon at the end of the day.

She did Willow, but dye still running ... isn't quite normal, at least to the extent that was described by the client.

My son, who is in his 40s, plays guitar in a couple of bands. Like me he has premature greyness so, a few years ago, he used to dye his hair dark brown so as not to look like an elderly rocker on stage. Eventually he decided to dye it black with a DIY colourant. Withing a few hours his head and face had swelled like a balloon and he was in a lot of pain. His wife had to call the doctor who put him on an antibiotic and it took a week for the swelling to subside. Meanwhile, he looked a lot like Oliver Hardy.

Hair dye can be brilliant for giving you a confidence boost but things can go wrong. I dyed mine until I was 60 (I went grey at 30) but then I stopped and I actually love my grey hair now. Would never have been able to sue a salon if I'd had a disaster though, I always did it myself.

P.S. My son now has salt-and-pepper grey/brown hair, as Nature intended. ;)

Here's me thinking that the story was taken to the press in the hope some good samaritan would offer a trip to Florida to make up for the lack of holiday to Wales ;)

If you have to dye your hair to get out of going to Wales for a holiday I'm just off to Asda for a boxful of the stuff

Probably a little truth in this Lancsdave but, at the end of the day, the lass has a well-founded complaint.

What sort of colour you after ? LOL .. free advice always available here on Accyweb. Do you fancy :-

Blonde: Fresh, youthful, bit dumblooking and lacking body hair.
Dark: Sultry, deep moods with strong beard and chest hairs.
Red: Dynamic/hot and the mystery of the world. 'cause we redheads know we are the best. ;)

The choice is yours.
