Re: scrap

Some blokes came down ours yesterday in a van, went into the yard across the backs from us and started helping themselves to a load of flagstones that the house owners had just bought. Luckily the blokes hightailed it when they saw us, and didn't manage to get many of the flags - but it was a bloody cheek!

Gypos as you call them have a different code of conduct.
The Romany Gypsy is in the main honest and hardworking.
Travellers are a different kettle of fish..they are opportunists who prey on the vulnerable........They have no connection with the Romanies at all...but they prefer that you think that they do.

Judge John Roberts said he had made a reduction in Finglas' case because he has a seriously ill 16-month-old daughter, Madison, who may need a lung transplant.
I hope his daughter is ok but I don't see why that should matter in his sentencing. He should have thought about his daughter before he started selling drugs.

Re: scrap

The scrap dealers who buy the scrap metal from the public also bear some responsibility for these thefts. If there were nowhere to sell the metal there would be no thefts.

But the god of more profit rules so there will always be a market for stolen goods.

if caught stealing scrap they should have their caravans crushed and scrapped and the money raised given to their victims
