:confused:a mate said that he will run us to the Manchester airport for £35 i priced a firm in burnley and they quoted me £90 its a joke.

they have to make a living from this.....do you live in burnley? if you dont then obviously they have to get to accrington as well which makes it more expensive..

Distance from Burnley to Man. Airport, without any pick-ups like Ossie is 42 Miles. On an average that is costed on 50p per mile, this becomes £42 ... cost. Petrol is increasing too, so probably my estimate is low. The taxi firm has got to make a profit, so if I were you I would snatch your friend's hand off whilst he is offering (he will lose out without a doubt).. ;)

I live 12 miles from the airport. Last time I had to use a taxi to get there, 2 or 3 years ago, it cost me £16. I have no doubt the tariff has gone up a fair bit since then.

There is a very good service to Manchester Airport by train....Change at Blackburn.......Check it out.
