To send the money she earns picking spuds, and from modelling, back to Poland.;)

Re: Polski Sun

As Sherlock Holmes would have said
"Examine the evidence, you do not get a midrife like that picking potatoes and his modeling career is, I fear, likely to be short lived"

You keep saying he.

'She' was a national junior shot put champion before moving to England to pursue her career in agriculture, and modelling.

polly 07-06-2008 20:46

Re: Polski Sun

At the risk of being accused of being pedantic, the evidence will prove that I said 'he' once and s/he once, that hardly warrants the word 'keep'

I take it there are none at your workplace because as you say it is important that they speak English from a health and safety point of view but employers ignore this fact for profit.

Like yourself I don't wish to appear pedantic, but prat as a noun has one t, unlike the surname, which generally ends with a double tt.;)

Prat, see below.:)

He'll probably come back and say he misspelt it on purpose to see if you'd notice. If you pull him up a second time he'll tell you you've fallen for it again. I reckon Royboy39 is Jambutty's brother.

I wonder if the Polish version will be on sale in Liverpool? There are still a lot of scousers that boycott the Sun, because of what it said about the Liverpool supporters during the tragedy at Bradford in 1985.

As you are talking about the sun and liverpool did anyone watch alexi sayle's liverpool on friday night on bbc 2? He got a pile of sun newspapers and a newsagent and tried to give them away for free ..... it ended up the newsagent setting fire to them out on the street outside his shop!!! Its still on iplayer if you missed it.

Also Polish people do learn english before they come over here ... my cousins wife is living out there at the minute and for the last 4 years has been teaching english to polish people.

I have come across some Polish lads on building sites..(don't get a sweat on Rindy)..there was one bloke who stood out as the leader but he didn't speak a word of English.
Simple words like "stop" .."watch out" and things.. he was sacked because of health and safety rules.. the man was devastated, he came for day's to get his job back.

Why sweat yourself, when it's so much cheaper to get a Pole to do it for you?
