heard it on the news, details a bit vague, begs the question of training with live ammo, from what i heard, such a shame n avoidable if thats the case.

Makes no sense..why would they use live bullets?, and what about bullet proof vests,
even the security guards at Tesco's wear them !
all speculation I know, but all the same it sounds crazy.

Are the police actually refusing to give information about what happened?

Quote:

It is not clear if the officer was shot accidentally by one of his own colleagues and police refused to answer specific questions about the incident.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police would not comment on whether officers used live or blank bullets, or both on the training exercises.

I imagine it will be standard practice for them to “shut up shop” until they hold their investigation.

My assumption was that training is part of his duties.

I assumed that he was wearing a bullet proof vest too and they say it was a chest wound

As for using live ammo….Lord knows. Maybe it’s common practice to use the live stuff, maybe someone picked up live stuff by mistake. Dunno :confused:

More things have emerged about this, it seems he was playing the part of a felon fleeing from a crime when he was shot, how the hell does that happen, bet the instructor is for the high jump:(

Heard on news he was shot with a cs gas round but without the gas canister in it, more to the point why wasn't he wearing a bullet proof vest
