Re: teaching assistant
Maybe she has a mortgage and a pensioner doesn't? A mortgage can be as much as £800 - £900 a month which would leave her precious little to live on.
Is there a link to the story? |
Re: teaching assistant
Are you speaking about yourself or about a story in particular?

Re: teaching assistant
Just over 200 a week, there arn't many on here working full time and existing on that! If thier average energy bills were £40 per month last year, they will be nearer £80 now, and if they drive to work, and filling the car is say £120 per month, that is more like £160 per month, £20 quid a week more than it was, easy to see how they are struggling.

Re: teaching assistant
If they rent a house you are probably talking at least £80 a week which is £320 a month.
