As Margaret stated earlier this whole ‘honours’ thing just perpetuates the myth that the monarchy has a place in the modern world.

I doubt if the withdraw of the Knighthood will worry Mugabe to much... today he was condemned by Nelson Mandella....Mandella still carries alot of clout in Africa, I think this is much more significant.

Yep..but then no surprise... didn't Mrs Thatch dance with Mugabe when she was at an event celebrating his take over?... even a Tory MP said "She has blood on her dress"..had some great mates Mrs Thatch...but then that was so long ago.. some people have short memories.

If only Mugabe was as evil as Lester Pigott.

He was stripped of his O.B.E. the year after his tax irregularities came to light.

Perhaps you have to be even naughtier than that to lose your Knighthood...eventually.
