what a couple of numpty,s

went to accy today to deliver a unit to my sis, anyway to cut a long story short hubby loaded the trailer but once on the motorway the rope came loose and we had to pull into the hard shoulder to fix it.

As he were tightening the ropes a large wagon came truudging past and jim said he felt the force of it pull him backwards, We decided to then come off the motorway and stick to the little roads as i call em.

Anyway on the second journey we only had the car so we went back on the m55 only to pass not one but two Numptys cycling down the hard shoulder on thier pushbikes (How crazy):eek: Really though If a wagon had passed them and they were hit with the same force jim had been earlier it could have taken them under or caused a serious accident,
Needless to say I phoned the police who said they had several calls already and a patrol car was en route.

Just couldnt believe what i was seeing .

A couple of weeks ago we saw a kid on a pushbike just coming off the motorway at Clayton. They seem to think they are OK on the hard shoulder.

Kinda numpty to go on a motorway with an improperly secured load, don’t think the Traffic Cops like that

Actually saw a cyclist on the M65 last week on the hard shoulder looking disdainfully at his bike like it had broken down !! Did puzzle for the next 10 miles what he was doing there in the first place. Would have loved to have waited around to see what conversation he had with the traffic police.. :D

Do you think everybody is trying to get back on their bikes, but don't know the motorway rules yet ??

Well, flashy .. more service stations and matrix warnings about tired breaks, so would not happen now I suppose. Have driven 500 miles many times in a day, and never felt I needed to pull over for a sleep, must be a man thing.. LOL.

OI the load was secure when we set off . (or so we thought . never had a prob before lol. ) and at least we did get off the motorway and took an alternative route just in case it recurred :p;)

Credit for taking an alternative route and spotting the load getting loose, many wouldn't have been so observant.

Bloody dangerous place to be is stationary on the hard shoulder.

Years ago I used to do a lot of motor way diving, in an HGV and some of the things you see is frightening but laughable at times, I think the worst one was an old guy coming the wrong way down the M4 near Reading, now that really shakes you up:eek:
