Just noticed this on the BBC website;

I'm a bit puzzled by Colin Rigby's comments that joint working is increasingly important. Can somebody explain why they went unitary in the first place if they think it's better to part of a bigger organisation :confused:

I don't get the "going unitary" thing .... but I gather that the Lancashire I left is not the same as the one that exists now.
