where decorations/lights/cards etc were banned in case they offended muslims etc

any idea where they went? :S

But i agree that i know of no muslims that have ever complained about it.

Well there have been numerous storeys about things being stopped or names being changed so as not to offend muslims, the thing is that muslims have never complained its the faccist left dogooding Guardianist that stick their noses in where they're not wanted

I once raised a few eye-brows when I worked for a Jewish owned company , and asked the receptionist during the 'mid-winter holiday season' where all the 'baby Jesus' cards were, lots of Hanukah, Kwanza and 'Happy Holiday' cards on display, ....sheepishly she told me she was afraid of putting them up incase anyone got upset .........just another example Political Correctness/brain washing and White guilt . :eek: :eek:

I have a work colleague who is Asian who went to a parents evening. During the course of a conversation with a Teacher she said "Whats that up on the blackboard?" The teacher instantly went off on one about how she couldnt call it that, and when asked why the teacher replied "it might offend Asians".

My colleague said "well whats that over there then" to which the teacher replied "oh its a whiteboard" My friend asked if she was offended by that term to which the teacher went" No of course I`m not". So my friend replied "well dont be so stupid about that board then...its a board and its black". The teacher didnt quite get this....

As always its some people assuming what others think/feel and trying to impose that on everyone. Christmas is a Christian religious festival, and if Christians want to celebrate it then they should, exactly as we respect when other faiths celebrate their religious times.

Perhaps what is most offensive to muslims and other visible minorites is that someone not of thier faith, culture, race decides, without consulting them, what will or will not offend them .... this may lead to others assuming that they will be upset, when in fact, the problem exists only in the oversensitivity of the PC crowd .... hope this makes sense; I'm trying to be as brief as possible.

I know quite a few black people and have some black friends..I have never known anyone be offended by blackboard... bah bah black sheep..etc..it's all a complete fuss caused by non-blacks who don't really get the meaning of being a racialist.

I work with numerous asians and went to school with quite a few and they always Take part in whatever celebrations we have.
We all exchange gifts and cards at work and on Christmas eve we all dress up in Xmas gear,Santa hats,ties,Flashing Badges and tinsel etc.. and everybody has a laugh.
God i hate the P.C brigade so much.:mad:

Just alittle off topic, but today I was working with a 7 year old. i mentioned to him about another pupil, we will call him Fred, which is not his real name. Fred is black.
The child I was working with immediately said, 'Oh I know who you mean, the boy who speaks French'.
If only we could all see beyond skin colour like that.
