The Royal Lancashire Show has been cancelled for the second year running due to weather.

That's a shame .. people will have done lots or preparation for it ... :(

There was a matrix sign at the end of the west side of the M65 stating 'Lancs show cancelled' Know it is to avoid congestion, but think pretty cool, wonder how many drivers groaned and turned back around when they got to the roundabout.

Was also matrix telling you which junction to come off for the open .. wonder that isn't cancelled too.

Burnley holidays would have finished today if the suits hadn't messed about with em, isn't it Accrington holidays this weekend :p

It's a shame it is cancelled .... I remember going to the show with my grandad .... lots of neat stuff for a kid to see ....

They could always move it here;)

They changed venues this year, in the hope that it would boost the chances of it going ahead and ease other problems, but the amount of rain we've had over the last few weeks has just been too much to handle.

It's a real shame, as i know how hard people have worked on the show. Changing the date to later in the year could be an option, but it could clash with other Shows in August.

cant help wondering if changing Harwood Shows venue
could cause similar problems as the area to be used is liable
to flooding :(

Went is the Harwood Show Beechy, thought it was earlier than this, but I must say I'm a litle out of touch

as far as im aware its going to be on the
field opposite nightingales garage and checcos

That's were I was told also, but cannot see it being an improvement.
as far as I know Jaysay, Harwood show was the 2nd Bank Holiday in May.
Think it is next year they are changing the venue.
