Re: Blackpool Rocks

When we do Blackpool its usually 2 nights b&b on Albert road, usually drinking back from the prom(cheaper pint, meet the locals).Have'nt been south of central pier since the early 90's.Some times have a stroll on the front to buy some tat,but avoid most seafront bars as they're full of idiots.Sorry we have been south of cntral pier....did turkey & tinsel on Bloomfield road last November(rubbish, wifes idea),but still walked up north to go drinking.Oh yes & i don't think i'd do 2 weeks holidays there.Like most people agree a couple of days is enough.

We are so near Blackpool that it seems a waste to pay for digs, when you could visit daily and sleep in your own bed

you know Margaret, you say that but actually its 'different' visiting for the day than when we are at the caravan, Don't know why but it seems more 'holiday' ish and maybe even its why I feel happy to defend it, it feels like I'm away from home as much as when we go abroad.

You cant beat Cleveleys now for being clean and cheap,Yesterday the beach was heaving with families having fun,,,,They have now got a fountain /paddling pool ,and the kids were having a whale of a time...If it was always as sunny and hot as yesterday ,you wouldent need to go abroad...
