Been hovering around the hospital area for a while now, and it's really annoying me. Anyone any idea what's happening?

it in hovering over blackburn road for a while now. know something is deffo happening since ive just seen armed police (in ACCY!!) whatever has happened, its over. someones been caught! havent the foggiest whats happened though.

seen police driving around peel park school area looking for somebody they had their stab vests on and 3 of them in one car just before helicopter appeared.its been up here for about 2 and a half hours and went about 20 mins ago..

Use it or lose it.

They have to play out from time to time, to make it appear to be worth while, supposed to save police time etc, but does it really pay its way, they produce all sorts of figures to prove it does, figures and statistics can be distorted to prove anything. The users don't have to pay for it, we the rate payers do.

slight thread wander but....... my friend Rachel used to live in a house with really high walls and no neighbours could see into her yard..... one night she woke up and needed a fag and it was warm so she went out for a fag in her bra and knickers, while she was out there the helicopter came over the top and shone the light right at her....... i was REALLY sympathetic when she rang me pmsl

These were out for a good while when I was at work
The 3 police in 1 car went up Burnley Rd
The chopper was around Burnley Rd for quite a while then moved towards town
then came back up and went again

Anyone know anything else to do with it?

Large police presence on Countess St / Princess St junction. Riot van, loads of coppers and the dog van too! Seemed like the whole area was on the doorsteps when we walked past. As to what it was about - couldn't tell ya!!

was hovering over milnshaw park earlier when i was out wi oscar, also was a "Meat Wagon" parked in lay by before the Lidl on hyndburn rd, with lights flashing but no-one in it, if hadn't have had the dog wi me i would have nicked it,:D when returning a car sped on hyndburn rd with siren on, also 3 cars had shot down countess st, Aleks is my main suspect.:D;)

around 7.30pm anyone got any idea what the police helicopter was doing hovering around?

there was a riot police van shotting down ellison street with the side door wide open and the police ready to jump out - futher on at the end of the king st/paxton st juction there was another cop van blocking off the route

there must've been a few more - liek they were trying to corner someone from escaping?

I managed to see it anyway from my little perch in the Old Vic. That was about as exciting as it got for me though :)

We should have one of those police liasion fellers who comes on here ever now and again and tells us what the crack is.

They was looking for a lad called "Danny.B". He is a teenager who is lives round the church area... Im also in suss****on as to whever it was him and his gang who put my car window through!

it did seam like it went on and on the one thing with the cam on the helecoptir it can see long distance so it could be in accy and looking in my house

yep somebody got banjoed, n also was a knife involved, apparently threatened plod with it, only been out about a month n it is the holiday season.:rolleyes:

Went to bed at about 12.30 and no sooner had my head hit the pillow than the loud noise of the helicopter started.
I decided that It was useless trying to get to sleep so got up at about 10 past 1 - then it stopped.

Anyone know what's 'going down'?

lol it makes me laugh when people complain about the police helicoptor and the noise it is making , im pretty sure if it was you that had just been attacked or just had your home burgled or whatever you would want that helicoptor up in the sky until they caught the sod they were looking for

maybe after bedtime we shoud just let criminals do what they like so as not to disturb a few peoples sleep :rolleyes:
