Clearly, Spanish marketing executives believe the best way to promote good and services is through overt discrimination, as the snap above is actually part of an advertisement for a courier company. The posed faux-pas enjoyed a full-page in Spanish sport daily Marca, and according to The Guardian, no one involved in the advert believed it to be offensive, and they did not consider it inappropriate in light of their bid for the Olympiad in 2016 or 2020.

I wonder if the Spanish are any more rascist than any other nation, or if they just don't try to hide it under a PC cloak .... I really do believe that there is more than a little rascism in all of us, and that most of us buy into the racial stereotypes that are out there. The most rascist person I ever ran into was Buffy Sainte-Marie .... go figure:confused:

I have thought long and hard before replying to this post.
The Spanish, unlike us in the UK have been subject to a dictator running their country for many years...I think this is the Spanish saying to rest of Europe....Sod the PC Brigade...We will do what we want.
We will smoke in bars...sod the EU.
Don't spoil our social life as you have done in the rest of Europe.
If they shout for Spain in the European Cup and win it...Come on get real.
This is a nation of winners and 'besa me coolo' to whoever comes second.

agree n they do, also the morrocans that are the "Lucky Lucky" men are only allowed to stay in spain 9 months of the year (at least they have in Andulucia) then they have to go home fer 3 months before returning, some may call that racism, i call it sense. n i have a few mates that do this who i know well from my time oer yon, n ya know what? they don't mind cos they get to spend time wi there families.

These guy's work for what they earn and are not a drain on the Spanish economy. no work no pay.....good luck to them...and they do work...very hard....who would in their right mind try to sell a watch to a Yorkshireman at midnight?.....How much???????????

I'm with Eric on this one.
I believe Britain to be quite a racist country on the quiet.
Just because it isn't shouted from the rooftops doesn't mean it doesn't exsist.
I have spoken to many people who are racist but would never make a big song and dance about it.
It's sad yes but Spain probably aren't that different to us or other countries,its just they don't give a damn about us knowing their views.

Think your right Loz, the only difference between here and Spain is that here you say something remotely racist, the PC brigade jump up and down. As far as I'm concerned its live and let live, but what I can't stand is people born and bread in this country, try to make out that things are offencive to other races and religions without even asking them, in many cases its the opposite and example is Muslims objecting to Christmas, no they don't its the Gaurdianist that want everybody to think so.

Exactly Jay.
All the time local councils will stop putting up xmas decorations and ban the term christmas because it supposedly offends people from other religions.
No it doesn't,i work with about 10 asians and they all join in the celebrations at work,dressing up in xmas outfits,sending xmas cards and exchanging presents.
The P.C brigade are one of my biggest bugbears:mad:

Yes, the PC brigade do look for problems, where none exist. However, on the other side of the coin, rags like the Daily Mail and Express try to stir things up with "muslims object to Christmas" type stories.

I know i haven't and can't remember ever reading about it either.
