Clinical Paediatric Dietetics - Google Book Search

This google book says that children with cystic fibrosis need it.
There wont be many of them in each school year
Maybe mentioning that to the school will help identify who the meds belong to

I was thinking more along the lines of it being something which actually belonged to a member of staff and had fallen into the child's bag by accident.

A previous link mentioned 'weight loss' - maybe an adult had been using it for that?

I would make a complaint to the school but is it possible your child picked up the bag by mistake, I have a 6yr old and at her school the children collect their own bags/belongings. I do find it quite worrying though. There are 2 Ellies in my daughters class and often we have received letters for the other Ellie one was rather stroppy about not treating head lice and one was about an head injury that she'd had at school and to watch out for certain symptoms only my Ellie hadn't bumped her head and by the time I picked her up from after school club (not at the school) it was too late to contact anyone, worrying really.

either way , the medication is niot supposed to be in the care of the child.... the 'qualified person' should hand it over to the parent and the parent has to sign to say they are aware that the medication has been given.
