It's Only A Grand
Not exactly enough to set you up for life but supposing you happened to win £1,000 through some means or other, how would you spend/save it? Pay your gas bill?Go on holiday? Some home improvements?A grand does'nt go far these days so how would you manage your windfall ?

Re: It's Only A Grand
I would pay off bills then that would free up money throughout a few months that I can spend willy nilly and not feel guilty lol

Re: It's Only A Grand
I would buy a new cooker for start, then maybe have a little holiday with the boys
£1000 doesnt go far at all so couldnt do much with it paying bills wise |

Re: It's Only A Grand
I'd buy my pets a luxury bed, then maybe they'd stop trying to get into mine.
|
Re: It's Only A Grand
I'd just put it to one side, until it was needed, you never know what crops up from week to week, and having a little to fall back on is a good idea, especially if you've won it, just forget about it until its required

Re: It's Only A Grand
I would decorate the front room of the house we just bought:D

Re: It's Only A Grand
Oh gosh, so many things I'd like to do with it. Probably top of my list at the mo would be to stay at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe.

Re: It's Only A Grand
I would be boring and sensible and put it into our savings account!
A bit for bills too, can't afford to splash out at the moment unfortunately! |
Re: It's Only A Grand
I don't really need it; so, I would probably give the money to the Kingston Humane Society ... maybe I would keep enough back to get me a Texas mickey of Crown Royal.

Re: It's Only A Grand
In 1995 I won £5000 on the Civil Service Lottery. My husband had set up in business, after being made redundant, and some of it went towards paying his VAT. The rest went on a holiday and a new front door!
If I won £1000 today it would go towards the new bathroom that's scheduled for 27/10, the new(ish) car I want before Christmas or the cost of painting/decorating most of the house since arthritis has prevented me from DIYing like I used to. I used to think £1000 was a fortune. These days, it's small change. :( |
Re: It's Only A Grand
