Information Commissioner’s Office

The Information Commissioner's Office is the UK's independent authority set up to promote access to official information and to protect personal information at http://www.ico.gov.uk/

“Visitors to the ICO website can now use a Personal Information Healthcheck to help them protect their privacy.”

You do that by taking part in a quiz at http://www.ico.gov.uk/Home/tools_and_resources/quizzes_or_questionnaires.aspx

But in order to do so you have to input some personal information:
Age, Gender and Region but you do have the option of “Rather Not Say”.

At the end of the quiz you are informed how you did. Mine was more than adequate.

You also get the option of downloading ICO’s personal information toolkit in either PDF or HTML format. The HTML version points you to a web site at http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/new_pia_handbook_html/index.html

It's no good getting a pdf file or html link, why can't we all get one of those USB memory sticks or CD disks they hand out ;)
