Accrington Web - Old shop up Burnley Rd

Can I swear? damn and blast! what have I missed up Burnley Rd? Remember I once featured a "Doors" section on my website. One of them was the door of an old sweet shop up Burnley Rd (corner of Boundary Rd I believe)
I pass that old shop every morning on my way to work and had noticed over the months that someone had boarded the window up and put a new door on or at least put a covering of sorts over the old door. I was driving past yesterday and spotted a big skip outside, overflowing with goodness knows what and guess what .. I always have my camera with me. Was it in my bag when I needed it??? NO! I phoned home and asked husband would he nip up and ask could he take a few piccys. when he got there it was Alan Duffy's firm who were clearing it out ... and The Telegraph were there. Alan said "pity you didnt come a few days back". Why? Wonder if it was still kitted out as an old style shop with old cupboards and old advertising slogans etc. Today I have been working at Wigan and when I got home husband said a woman from the BBC had phoned me (er why?) to see did I know anything about the shop.
WHAT HAVE I MISSED? anybody know anything about it please
