Street lighting is LCC. I was talking to a bloke who does it. I think he said their was one LCC bloke who looks after all the street lights in Ossy - it could have been Hyndburn that sounds way to big for one bloke.

At this time of year drains get blocked with leaves which worstens matters.
HBC/LCC needs to increase their frequency of use of that drain unblocking machine that sucks all the gunge out of the grates.

Sometimes the grates are inaccessible because of parked cars, so it would help if that department advised us which areas were to be serviced a few days in advance so access could be ensured.

I just noticed on Broadway today the little channel that runs along where the paving slabs slope to is almost completely blocked all the way down so can't possibly serve any useful purpose at all. Nice idea when it was planned but totally impractical if it never gets cleaned out.
