Chasing Methuselah

Apparently there is a lady in South Africa who is claiming to be 134 years old. She says she has documantation proving she was born in 1874.

I'd be happy to live that long provided my body and my brain hadn't deteriorated to the point where either was unservisable. As things are, at present, I don't think that's feasible. What say you?

On the 11th June 2009 I reach three score years and ten, anything beyond that is a bonus.....brain active...body OK....able to stave of attacks from HR Manager about being old and accepting the Queens Shilling.
All in all I'm fine.

I saw the story on the News. Apparently she has a 90 year old daughter.

For so long as I have my health and a sound mental capacity each day on this earth has to be a bonus.

Any day that you wake up and they are not shovelling dirt on your face is a good day:theband:

I hope they give her double her pension, being over twice the pensionable age.:D

Quite an extraordinary age.

She'd be aged around twenty seven when Queen Victoria died.

Appearantly she was born on the same day as Winston Churchill think, it was 14th July. Saw her on BBC News channel this morning, must say if she is that old she looked well on it, she was eating marshmellows and drinking Coke. As some one said, I would want to live to 135, and was answered tha would if tha was 134:D

It’s a very bad day if you wake up and they ARE shovelling dirt on your face.
