Town Centre Incident
 

I noticed earlier Dutton St had been closed due to police incident. Been down town since to tax the car and the area round the Warners pub is taped off with a high police presence.

Heard several people saying somebody had been murdered. Looks serious whatever it is

Just read Ev Tel - no news other than road closure-
"Dutton Street both ways closed due to police incident between Blackburn Road and Holme Street. Also affecting Church Street both ways between Blackburn Road and Holme Street."

I heard a rumour that someone was stabbed to death last night. dunno how true that is, but it must be something serious.

That is it. dunno where the stabbing rumour came from, quite a few people told me some lad got raped aswell, guess a lot of people got told different things. but to be honest this kind of thing is all too common these days, and its ruining accy which used to be awesome on a night out, now you have to spend half your time looking over your shoulder to make sure some idiot isnt trying to bounce a bottle/knife/fist off your head.

Totally agree BB, but it wasn't always like this, its only since the lunatics took over the asylum that things started going pear shaped. I've said it before that judges should be made to live in the real world and see what happens in everyday life before being allowed to pas judgement. They don't see much of the really world being chauffeur drive from their Ivory Tower to court every morning the to their club for a nice glass of Port afterwards. They also need to have a huge bonfire on Parliament Square with all the law books and start a fresh with laws relevant to today's Britain not seventeenth century Britain

A few people,well mainly taxi drivers,have told me that up to about 11pm that Accy is okay,mainly your older more sensible drinkers.Then the idiots come out,proborbly after spending the early evening hours drinking & taking God-knows-what in their homes.Already tanked up before they hit the pubs/clubs it's no wonder it kicks off & the older ones head off home (if they've any sense).

I didnt see the actual attack but went to get a taxi minutes later, it was around 4.30am. I saw the lad on the floor, and just thought he was drunk, it really didnt look that serious. He had some friends with him, and the ambulance turned up whilst i was waiting for my taxi. I hope he is ok and gets better soon.

Few of my mates been stabbed n stuff in past few weeks, was one on lodge street on saturday aswell.
