Re: would you let your child...
I think in an instance like this though it would break my heart I would have to say yes. Very sad but the child has suffered enough
|
Re: would you let your child...
I couldnt possibly answer that with my hand on my heart, I like to think I could support my kids no matter what, but watching them go through the things this astounding young lady has endured would be pure heartbreak in itself, really difficult to judge.

Re: would you let your child...
its a hard call, but bottom line is, the lass has done the suffering, all her life n i would have to support her. what about you ema? you asked the question.

Re: would you let your child...
I have a daughter that age and if she was as mature and had endured so much, then yes, i would support her decision, heartbreaking though it is.

Re: would you let your child...
I can't, honestly, answer this because I haven't been in that situation and I can't picture myself there no matter how hard I try. I'd like to think I could respect the child's wish but, in reality, I don't know. It goes against Nature for a child to die before its parents and to be complicit in that must take a courage I'm not really sure I've got.

Re: would you let your child...
Yes, I would have to accept my child's decision. She has obviously decided the 'enough was enough', and what right would I have to prolong her suffering, especially for my own selfish reasons.

Re: would you let your child...
I think I would have to agree with the majority on this, the fact of the matter is that no one knows hat this young girl has gone through in her short life, and given the fact that even if she did have a heart transplant there was not guarantee she would survive.

Re: would you let your child...
Cant answer that:(, and hope i never need too!

Re: would you let your child...
I dunno what I would say if this was my own child....
My heart goes out to this young lady and her family tho! What a girl they have raised... to be mature enough in making a decision like this Heartbreaking for her parents I'm sure |
Re: would you let your child...
I'm afraid I would plead with her to keep her with me as long as possible .. the transplant is a hope after all. Not sure if I see it as selfish. :(
Poor kid .. she has gone through a lot though. |

Re: would you let your child...
i watch my sister suffer for 10years with her battle with cancer , she lost her leg and parts of her lungs but still she battled on , there were times she tryed to end her own life , cuz we were all told she was goin to die from it , it was just a waitin game , after seein her suffer and if my own child had termilly illness , i would surport my child with the what he or she wants , you realy need to see someone go though it first then you can truely understand , but if there was a chance they could make a full recovery then no i wouldn,t surport them ,
