very Jolly

I was stood waiting for someone on Broadway, looking up at the hideous blue and white building, but that's another story, and another thread, when the pipe band started up.

I guess I picked the wrong spot to stand, as I had Bing Crosby in one ear, and Danny Boy in the other.:D

Still, it was preferable to the God squad singing carols in the marquee outside the Market Hall.

There was so much music in Accy today I could hardly here Biggy Shoe Darlin'.:D

I'm not being a Scrooge by the way.

The carol singers outside the Market Hall were actually very good too, and added to the festive mayhem in Accy today.:D

Praise be.

They do have their uses.

I'll have to pop something in their collecting tin next time I see 'em.

:D

The Sally Army are the only religious organisation that I ever donate to.
I have seen what they do for the homeless and they don't ask 'who is your god?' before doing it.

Re: very Jolly

We had our Santa Claus parade a couple of weeks ago .... and now the rink in Market Square behind City Hall is open for 24 hr free skating and the trees in City Park are all lit up ... we had a nice fluffy snowfall last night, with more in the forcast .... it's beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas .... on the down side, it's going to be a bleak Christmas for the families and friends of Cpl. Mark McLaren, Warrent Officer Robert Walker, and Pte. Demetrios Diplaros, all of the 1st. Battallion, Royal Canadian Regiment, who were killed in action in Afghanistan on Friday. A little bit of peace on this troubled planet would not be a bad idea.

Must admit I love listening to the Sally Army playing Christmas Carols. Seem to remember them going round the streets on Christmas day when I was a kid.

Anyone know when the Rotary Santa is coming to Clayton?

Well they don't get a penny from me, and won't do until they stop discrimination.

That's for other people to decide.

They get nothing from me.
