Do you hang your handbag on the loo door..?, Read this then!!!

Just one to share with you....a friend of mine told this when she went for a haircut yesterday...

Lady was shopping in John Lewis...went to use the loo, and hung her bag on the door (as you do). When she was 'in action' metal hook appears over the door - and offski with the handbag - not much you can do when you're mid-flow!!

She reported it to the shop/police etc and managed to get herself home.

If that wasn't bad enough...2 days later she gets a phone call from 'John Lewis stores' saying they've found her bag - no purse but would she like to come and get it at a certain time (they agreed a time). Anyways - she goes to JL - and they haven't called her - she gets home and the scumbags have used her keys to do her house over whilst she was out. She thought it was odd that they asked for a time, but you don't question it do you..!

I certainly will think twice before hanging my bag up again!! :eek:

Its very rare I get to go to the loo when shopping, cant get in with the double pram lol so normally I use the disabled loos so I can get the pram in with me (am not leaving two small children plus shopping outside un-attended) so they arnt the same as a normal cubicle

But will remember this should I ever have to. Like everyone else though, when out on a night out or wherever I usually hang it on the back of the door (have been places where there was no chance id put it on the floor!)

They are very clever though, to make sure she is out of the house so they can rob her house too, swines...........

I would hope that the majority of intelligent people would have the locks changed quicker than 2 days after having the bag stolen with keys and ID in it.

nothing shocks me any more: will think twice now: but toliets are so flipping dirty these days you have to hang your bag up or it will be covered in wee: ( not nice )

Most of my bags are shoulder bags - worn across my body when out and about - don't take it off in public loos

Im shocked at how many women do leave their bags ont he floor when 'paying a visit'-with the strap poking out from under the cubicle.....anyone could grab it and run.

I always hang mine on the door, im not gonna put it on the dirty floor!!, besides I think id notice someone hooking my bag!, I think id be able to grab me bag before they tried too!, what was the woman doing?...sat there watching it?? confused.....that or the door was not within reach!:rolleyes:

...she put her handbag on the cubicle floor and a hand reached under the partition and snatched it.....
