Liverpool One
on Tuesday i decided to TRY and get into the christmas spirit and along with Reece and Ciara, took a trip to Liverpool...
when we arrived at Lime Street Station we followed the signs to LIVERPOOL ONE, i expected it to be a wonderful place, maybe something on the lines of The Trafford Centre....i was soooooooo wrong its crap..... all it is, is a few streets of shops...and thats it i was most disapointed anyone else been? |
Re: Liverpool One
That’s a pity, it looks like it would be well worth a visit too :( I was going to have a look myself, might leave it until I hear more reports.

Re: Liverpool One

Re: Liverpool One
City centers have a habit of containing shops and such like places. A bit of a bore really.:confused:

Re: Liverpool One
I find shopping just downright boring these days, no matter where you travel to its just the exact same shops, just either bigger or smaller! Not too many town centres with much individual character any more i'm afraid.

Re: Liverpool One
Hull is actually quite good for shopping. It's not really trafford center ;) But I know people who prefer it to the likes of Leeds.

Re: Liverpool One
Nik and Laura went to Liverpool on Saturday and, amongst other things, had a look at Liverpool 1. She said it was like a typical High St of 20 years ago, but on 2 levels, and she liked it. It wouldn't appeal to me as I don't enjoy shopping.
From what she said it sounded much like Warrington used to be, when most of the shops and stores were on 3 streets in the town centre. They have now been replaced by a much enlarged Mall, which is very nice in its way, leaving the main shopping streets lined with empty shops and ever-increasing clubs and bars. I don't think Liverpool 1 is going to compete with the Trafford Centre but, at least, there's a lot more to see and do in Liverpool. They had a brilliant day out, including the Dr Who exhibition and even a ride on the ferry to Wallasey and back. |
