Please explain how any heater can warm a solid object without warming the air between the appliance and that object

If this is some new technology it is baffling me:confused:

Lol only just spotted that! :D

In any case Panther, there is no legal requirement as such. If there was maybe less old folk would be dying each year

Strangely enough Margaret, I know what he means! Even if it doesn't seem to make sense!

Got a reply from agent, basically telling me that these sort of properties with extensions are notorious for being cold.

Yeah I know that, I have a lived in enough of them over my 55 years and dealt with them. Doesn't mean in this day and age it should have to be tolerated, and definitely not to the extent of this property.

I was also told it has been the coldest spell since 1991...Patronising..Yeah I watch the news, and I was also around long before that in worse temperatures and not been this cold....the lowest was 2 degrees.

I was told to apply for a warm front grant.

Yeah great, save the landlord money into the bargain too. Only problem being I don't qualify. Already been down that route.

So I sent an email back, with my replies and opinions, and suggesting if the landlord wanted to keep a decent tenant here long term, it would be a wise investment to do something about it. Also that if they didn't I was off pronto.

Upshot now being she is going to get a contractor to come round and check things out, and advise her. Then pass his results to the landlord.

She is also sending me a copy of the survey.

Found out through internet that the property was only purchased last year, so neither landlord or agent will have any idea of the problems.

Not holding out too much hope, but one never knows. fingers crossed.

Apolologise if anyone thinks I'm ranting.:)
