HAHA i was right about blackburn road relaying surface..

got a letter through the post

they are relaying surfaces up here as well (woodnook) some one has a dodgy calender cos the letter i have says 19th and they started on monday ..

yeah

and here there's no sign of anythign yet... but it took longer than a week to unlay and then relay the surface

At least it is not a direct waste of our money this time.

The materials supplied where sub standard so the full cost of the resurfacing is being paid for by the material supplier and not LCC.

If you want to complain about money wasted by LCC have a look what they have been doing to school yellow zig zags recently.

they could save a fortune by not putting any road markings along hyndburn road like give way markers or yellow lines etc seen as none of the rules of the road exist down there why bother wasting the paint

We are not moaning because they resurfaced the road, most road around here need doing. We are moaning because they did it and the road fell to bits again after a few weeks so it needs doing again

but its not the councils fault, its the fault of the tarmac suppliers who's tar wasnt upto the requied standard, hence the cost of the new surface being paid by them and not the council !!

they will be being relaid, the ones currently down do not now confirm to goverment size regulations or sumatt (so not legal) so new ones which will conform are gonna be put down..
